Excerpts from Isaiah 65 (Judgement and Final Salvation)

“The Lord says, “I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help.
I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for Me.
I said, “Here I am, here I am!” to a nation that did call on My name.
All day long I opened My arms to a rebellious people.
But they followed their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes.”
(Isaiah 65, 1-2, NLT)

“All who invoke a blessing or take an oath will do so by the God of truth.
For I will put aside my anger and forget the evil of earlier days.

Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth and no one will even think about the old ones anymore.
Be glad; rejoice forever in My creation!
And look! I will create Jerusalem as a place of happiness.
Her people will be a source of joy.
I will rejoice over Jerusalem and delight in My people.
And the sound of weeping and crying will be heard in it no more.

No longer will babies die when only a a few days old. No longer will adults die before they have lived a full life. No longer will people be considered old at one hundred! Only the cursed will die young!
In this days, people will live in the houses they build and eat the fruit of their own vineyards.
Unlike the past, invaders will not take their houses and confiscate their vineyards.
For My people will live as long as trees, and My chosen ones will have time to enjoy their hard-won gains.
They will not work in vain, and their children will not be doomed to misfortune.
For they are people blessed by the Lord, and their children, too, will be blessed.
I will answer them before they even call to Me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

The wolf and the lamb will feed together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. But the snakes will eat dust.
In those days no one will be hurt or destroyed on My holy mountain.
I, the Lord, have spoken.” (Isaiah 66, 16-25, NLT)

Excerpts from Isaiah 56 and 57

“”This is what the Lord says:
“Be just and fair to all.
Do what is right and good,
for I am coming soon to rescue you and to display My righteousness among you.
Blessed are all those who are careful to do this.
Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong. “” (Isaiah 561-2, NLT)

“Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.” (Isaiah 57, 1-2, NLT)

“”The high and lofty One who lives in eternity, the Holy One says this:
“I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.”” (Isaiah 57: 15, NLT)

“”But those who still reject Me are like the restless sea, which is never still
but continually churns up mud and dirt.
There is no peace for the wicked, “says my God.”” (Isaiah 57, 20-21, NLT)

Excerpts from Micah, Chapters 6 and 7

“No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what He requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
(Micah 6, v. 8, NLT)

“The godly people have all disappeared; not one honest person is left on the earth. They are all murders, setting traps even for their own brothers. Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice. Even the best of them is like a brier; the most honest is a dangerous as a hedge of thorns.

But your judgment day is coming swiftly now. Your time of punishment is here, a time of confusion. Don’t trust anyone- not your best friend or even your wife For the son despises his father. The daughter defiles her mother. The daughter-in-law defiles her mother-in-law. Your enemies are right in your own household!

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.” (Michael 7:2-7, NLT)

Sing Praises to the Lord, Psalm 148

“Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens!
Praise Him from the skies!
Praise Him, all His angels!
Praise Him, all the armies of heaven!

Praise Him, sun and moon!
Praise Him, all your twinkling stars!
Praise Him, skies above!
Praise Him, vapors high above the clouds!

Let every created think give praise to the Lord, for He issued His command, and they came into being. He set them in place forever and ever. His decree will never be revoked.

Praise the Lord from the earth, you creatures of the ocean depths, fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather that obey Him, mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all livestock, small scarring animals and birds, kings of the earth and all the people, rulers and judges of the earth, young men and young women, old men and children.

Let them all praise ether name of the Lord. For His name is very great; His glory towers over the earth and heaven!

He has made His people strong, honoring His faithful ones – the people of Israel who are close to Him.

Praise the Lord!”

(Psalm 148, NLT)

Excerpts from Joshua Chapters 1 and 24

The Lord’s Charge to Joshua after the death of Moses:

“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is My command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord you God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1: 6-9, NLT)

Joshua reviews the Lord’s Covenant with the Israelites.

“So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone, But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then chose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods you ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in those whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:14-15, NLT)

Excerpts from Isaiah 53, 55

Excerpts from Isaiah 52

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messengers who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!

The watchmen shout and sing with joy, for before their very eyes, they see the Lord returning to Jerusalem. Let the ruins of Jerusalem break into joyful song, for the Lord comforted His people. He has redeemed Israel.

The Lord has demonstrated His holy power before the eyes of all nations. All the ends of the earth will see the victory of our God.” (Isaiah 52: 7-10, NLT)

This is what the Lord says -your Redeemer, the HolyOne of Israel:

“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you to do and leads you along the paths you should follow. Oh, that you had listened to My commands! Then you would have had peace like a gentle river and righteousness rolling all over you like the waves in the sea.”” (Isaiah 48:16B-18, NLT)

“The Sovereign Lord has given me His words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning He wakens me and opens my understanding to His will.” (Isaiah 59: 4-5, NLT)

Living the New Life – Excerpts from Colossians 3

In the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Colossians he writes about Living the new Life.

“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolator, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still a part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters and He lives in all of us.

Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must cloth yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. An always be thankful.” (Colossians 3:5-16, NLT)

Words of Encouragement – Philippians 4:1-9

This is an excerpt from Paul’s letter to the Philippians.

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you, dear friends, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work.

Now I appeal to Euodia and Syntyche. Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement. And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others about the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

Always be full fo joy in the Lord. I say it again – rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me – everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:1-9, NLT)
