A psalm of David

“I will sing of Your love and justice, Lord. I will praise You with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life- when will You come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.

I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence. My daily tasks will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city from the Lord from their grip.”

A psalm of thanksgiving

“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before Him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God. He made us, and we are His. We His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving; go into His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.” (NLT)

“Come. let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to Him with Thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms to praise Him. For the Lord is a great God, a great God, a great King above all Gods.

I cried out,’I am slipping!’but Your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, Your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”

But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore- the Lord above is mightier than these! Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O Lord is holy forever and ever.”

“Even in old age they (the godly) will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. They will declare,’The Lord is just! He is my rock! there is no evil in Him!” (Psalm 92: 1-4, 14-15, NLT)

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. He alone is my refuge, why place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up in their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on stone.”

The Lord says, ‘I will rescue those who love Me I will protect those who trust in My name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give the My salvation.'”(Psalm 91: 1-4, 9-12, 14-16, NLT)

“Lord, through all the generations You have been our home! Before the mountains were born, before You gave birth to earth and the world, from the beginning to end, You are God.

You turn people back to dust, saying, ‘Return to dust, you mortals!’ For You, a thousand years are as a passing day, as brief as a few night hours. You sweep people away like dreams that disappear. They are like grass hat springs up in the morning. In the morning, it blooms and flourishes, but by evening it is dry and withered.”

“Seventy years You have given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away.
