Scripture on God’s Protection

“He will cover you with His feathers. He will shelter you with His wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. (Psalm 91:4, NLT)

Trusting in the Lord, Excerpts from Proverbs Chapter 3

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.

Don’t be impressed with our own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you have healing for your body and strength for your bones.

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then He will fill your barns with grain and your vats will overflow with wine.

My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when He corrects you. For the Lord corrects those He loves, just a a father corrects a child in whom he delights.” (Proverbs 3:5-12, NLT)

Promote Right Teaching, Excerpts from Titus Chapter 2

“As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They. must have sound faith and filled with love and patience.”

Similarly, teach older women to live in a way that honors God. They. must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.” (Titus 2:1-5, NLT)

Excerpt from Titus – Do What is Good

“Remind the believers to submit to the government and to its officials. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.

Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.

But – ‘When God or Savior revealed His kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, given us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of His grace, He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” (Titus 3:1-7, NLT)

Scripture on Restoration

“‘Come now, let’s settle this,’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.'” (Isaiah 1:18, NLT)

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:16-17, NLT)

Excerpts from Romans Chapter 8

Life in the Spirit

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body, God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us , who no longer for our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.” (Romans 8: 1-4, NLT)

Scripture on Knowledge

“Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. ” (Proverbs 2:3-6, NLT)

[Jesus said,]”To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.” (Matthew 12:12, NLT)

Scripture on Sensitivity

“Open my eyes to se the wonderful truths in your instruction.” (Psalm 119:18, NLT)

“Brothers and sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone. See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to call people.” (Thessalonians 5:14-15, NLT)
