Scripture on Judgment

“Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey His commands, for this is everyone’s duty. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, NLT)

“And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for Him.” (Hebrews 9:27-28, NLT)

Scripture on Joy

“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty!” (Psalm 32:12, NLT)

Scripture on Fear

“The Lord is my light and my salvation – so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” (Psalm 27: 1, NLT)

“Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His perfect love.” (1 John 4:18, NLT)

Scripture on Obedience

“But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to His voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.” (1 Samuel 15:22, NLT)

“Jesus replied, ‘But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice’.” (Luke 11:28, NLT)

Scripture on Understanding

“Cry our for insight, and ask for understanding. Search from them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.” (Proverbs 2:3-5, NLT)

“My the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes form Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 3:5, NLT)

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” (Colossians 3:12-13, NLT)

Scripture on Self-Control

“The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way so that you can endure.” (1 Corinthians 10: 13, NLT)

Hannah’s Prayer of Praise

” Then Hannah prayed:

My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong! Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides You; there is no Rock like our God.

Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; He will judge your actions.

The bow of the mighty is now broken, and those who stumbled are now strong. Those who were well fed are now starving, and those who were starving are now full. The childless woman now has seven children, and the woman with many children wastes away.

The Lord gives both death and life; He brings some down to the grave but raises others up. The Lord makes some poor and other rich; He brings some down and lifts others up. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing then in seats of honor. For all the earth is the Lords’ and He has set the world in order.

He will protect His faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone. Those who fight against the Lord will be shattered. He thunders against them from heaven; the Lord judges throughout the earth. He give power to his king; he increased strength of His anointed one.” 1 Samuel 2: 1-10, NLT)
