Everlasting Life

The funeral service of a Christian should be a time of celebration. Our body is just a temporary home for us. At death, the Christian’s soul leaves his earthly body and is in the presence of Christ. There is no more pain, no more tears, no more illness, and that person is reunited with fellow Christian family and friends in Heaven. But what about the family and friends who did not accept Christ as their personal savior before they died. They will not be allowed in Heaven. They will be eternally in the darkness of Hell.

God loves us so much that He gave His only son to die for our sins. God allows us a lifetime to admit that we are sinners, believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and confess with our hearts that He is Lord. Once we say that prayer, we open the for for Jesus to take control of our lives and fills us with the Holy Spirit. You have to let go (of your control of your life) and let God (be the Lord of your life and let Him take control). But if a person dies with out Jesus in their lives, there is not another chance to do so, and they miss out on eternity with God and everlasting life.

Probably the most memorized Scripture is John 3:16 (NLT)

“For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

What a powerful sentence!

We would love to hear from you!
