Scripture Favorites

On a recent FB post, there was a request for folks to share their favorite Scriptures. Below are some of my favorite Scriptures (all taken from the NLT except where indicated)

I invite you to respond and share your favorite Scriptures.

Romans 12:1-2 “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all that He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, this is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Psalm 51:10-12 “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from Your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey You.”

Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends You, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.”

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

Ephesians 2:8-10 “God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

Micah 6:8 “…O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what He requires form you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be know to God. (NKJV)

Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (NKJV)
